Energy Saver Actually Do?
On some older refrigerators, an Energy Saver switch controls small heaters around the door frame. These heaters help prevent condensation from forming around the doors.
When conditions are relatively dry, switching the heaters off can reduce electricity use. GE Appliances specifically explains that some of its older refrigerators allow users to turn these heaters off through an Energy Saver switch.
